PCMO

Passenger car motor oil (PCMO) is designed for use in consumer and performance vehicles, including cars, SUVs, vans, and light trucks. PCMOs can be developed with high-performance synthetic or conventional base oils. This allows for flexibility in the types of products we carry and who we can supply to.

PCMO Features:

Viscosity: PCMOs come in various viscosity grades, typically denoted by numbers such as 0W-20, 5W-20, or 5W-30. These numbers represent the oil’s viscosity at different temperatures. The first number (0W, 5W) indicates the oil’s viscosity in cold temperatures (the “W” stands for “winter”), while the second number (20, 30) represents the viscosity at operating temperatures. PCMO viscosity grades are selected based on engine design, operating conditions, and manufacturer recommendations.

Wear Protection: PCMOs contain additives that provide excellent wear protection for engine components, such as pistons, cylinders, camshafts, and bearings. These additives form a protective film on metal surfaces, reducing friction and wear during engine operation.

Cleanliness: PCMOs are formulated to keep the engine clean by preventing the formation of deposits, sludge, and varnish. They contain detergents and dispersants that help suspend and remove contaminants from the engine, preventing them from accumulating on critical engine components.

Thermal Stability: PCMOs are designed to maintain their viscosity and performance over a wide range of temperatures. They contain additives that improve viscosity index (VI), which helps the oil flow smoothly and provide adequate lubrication in both cold starts and high-temperature operating conditions.

Fuel Economy: Many modern PCMOs are formulated to improve fuel economy by reducing friction and improving engine efficiency. These oils often meet specific industry standards, such as API SP or ILSAC GF-6, which include requirements for fuel economy performance.

PCMO Specifications:
